Composite Technician

Role

As a Composite Technician (also known as Composite Materials Specialist, Composite Assembler), you'll be responsible for the hand lay-up of composite materials, managing vacuum bagging processes and procedures, and conducting hand-finishing operations. This role is crucial in the production of parts and assemblies for industries such as aerospace and defense.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience with composite materials (i.e. Carbon Fiber, Kevlar & Fiberglass).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and suggest improvements from work instructions (SOPs).
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools in cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling.
  • Experience with adhesive bonding applications and assembly of structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy while working with tight tolerances.
