CNC Machinist/Programmer

Role

As a Machine Operator (also known as Equipment Technician, Production Machine Operator), you'll be responsible for setting up and operating machines to produce quality parts. You'll maintain tolerance, dimensions, concentricity, and surface finishes as specified on drawings and/or the sales order. Your duties will also include selecting proper tools, working from drawings, using micrometers and other measuring instruments, inspecting parts, making minor adjustments to machine computer and/or tooling setup, and keeping your work area clean and orderly.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Shop Trade Knowledge/Education.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings/specifications and/or written instructions.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments.
  • Basic mathematical abilities to perform the necessary functions of the job.
  • Understanding or knowledge of the required theory and practices needed to perform the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all of the above functions of the job.
  • Physical demands—standing, bending, reaching for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
