Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Role

As a Heavy Equipment Technician (also known as Construction Equipment Repair Technician, Heavy Machinery Mechanic), you'll diagnose and perform repairs on various types of construction equipment. Your duties will include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring general machine upkeep. You'll also use diagnostic tools, including laptop computers, gauges, and instruments, to detect faults in all machine systems.

Qualifications
  • High school education or GED equivalent. Technical, vocational, trade school education or equivalent is also required.
  • Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment, mining equipment, systems, engines and components.
  • Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • MSHA certification, or the ability to be MSHA certified.
