Role

As an Equipment Technician (also known as Plant Equipment Operator, Maintenance Technician), you'll respond to breakdown calls, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment, install new equipment, and make necessary modifications to programs and equipment.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of formal training plus 2 years of practical experience or 4 years of practical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Robots, Hydraulic and Mechanical Presses.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot, diagnose equipment failures and root causes, and repair all plant equipment using both hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in PLC Troubleshooting Skills, Electrical Troubleshooting Skills, and experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet and on top of equipment, in a safe manner, when needed. Lifting requirements range from 30-50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, documentation skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform high quality work in short time frames.
