Role

As a Purchasing Specialist (also known as Procurement Officer, Sourcing Specialist), you'll be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, ensuring the purchased products meet specific technical specifications, and negotiating purchase terms. You'll also evaluate supplier performance, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve any supply issues. Additionally, you'll develop efficient purchasing solutions and support senior management in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree or higher in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and commodity purchasing, sourcing, and supplier negotiation is a plus.
