Director of Quality Assurance (Food Manufacturing)

Role

As a Director of Quality Assurance (also known as Quality Control Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor), you'll oversee the plant's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and government procedures. You'll inspect and audit operations in all phases of quality performance, from raw materials to production, packaging, distribution, HACCP, GMP’s, etc. Your role will require a thorough understanding of food manufacturing, processes, and procedures, as well as microbiology and raw material programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited College or university.
  • Five plus years of quality control experience in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry, HACCP, SSOP, SOP, and USDA and FDA standards.
  • Strong computer skills, analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions, and work well in group problem-solving situations.
  • HACCP Certification and SQF Certification (preferred).
