Controls Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Role

As a Controls Engineer (also known as Automation Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer), you'll be responsible for implementing new capital, tooling fixtures, continuous improvement, and maintenance in areas such as MIG, spot and resistance welding, and assembly. You'll also assist automation and secondary process departments with specific tooling programming needs, maintain PLC based control systems, and lead projects in electrical disciplines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, with 3+ years in automation engineering, assembly or related field.
  • Experience with A-B Rockwell PLC/HMI family of products, FANUC ArcTool, FANUC SpotTool, and Kuka KRC 4 controllers.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design programs a plus.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, measurements and proportions to practical situations.
