EHS Specialist

Role

As an EHS Specialist (also known as Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator), you'll be responsible for planning, administrating, and overseeing the safety of the workforce. Your primary duties will include ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, conducting training seminars, measuring workplace safety standards, conducting safety inspections, and processing/tracking worker’s compensation claims.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational H&S, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent mix of education and experience. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CHI), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) are beneficial.
  • 1-3 years of specific EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing company. Direct tactical and administrative EHS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems.
