CNC Programmer

Role

As a CNC Programmer (also known as CNC Operator, CNC Machinist), you'll become an expert in CNC programming software and execute programs for the machine department to meet production demands. You'll read and interpret technical blueprints, calculate and write programs for CNC work centers, develop CNC programs for production runs, and troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process. You'll also perform quality control tests, maintain the machine, and train new staff on machine operation procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED. Completion of a technical or associate degree program is a plus.
  • Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam and GeoPath.
  • Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
