CNC Machinist

Role

As a CNC Machine Operator (also known as CNC Technician, CNC Machinist), you'll operate a variety of CNC machine tools, set up and verify tooling, and set part offsets. You'll also be responsible for studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working on the set-up of 5-axis machines, such as Hass or Fanuc preferred.
  • Ability to operate a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.
  • Working knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used to operate various machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as blueprints, safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as business requires.
