SQF Quality Engineer

Role

As a Quality Engineer - SQF Practitioner (also known as Food Safety Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer), you'll lead food safety and training programs, oversee quality assurance projects, and ensure compliance with SQF Certification. Your duties will include managing food safety processes, developing and executing SQF Plans, leading SQF team, facilitating internal audits, maintaining food safety program calendar, coordinating emergency crisis response, and providing leadership in situations where deviations have occurred or a potential risk has been identified related to food safety attributes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Engineering Paper Science or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of SQF experience in manufacturing in a training capacity.
  • HACCP Certified and SQF Lead Auditor Training preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and think pro-actively with minimal daily guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and other software applications specific to position.
