Food Quality Engineer (SQF)

Role

As a Food Quality Engineer - SQF Practitioner (also known as Food Safety Manager, Quality Assurance Engineer), you'll lead food safety and training programs, oversee quality assurance projects, and manage the Safety Quality Food (SQF) Plans. You'll also be responsible for regulatory audits, standard operating procedures, food safety audits, and corrective action logs. Additionally, you'll guide and lead in situations where deviations have occurred or a potential risk has been identified related to food safety attributes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Engineering Paper Science or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of SQF experience in manufacturing in a training capacity.
  • Special Licenses or Certificates preferred: HACCP Certified, SQF Lead Auditor Training.
  • Ability to work independently and think pro-actively with minimal daily guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and ability to train effectively.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and other software applications specific to position.
