Milling Machine Operator

Role

As a Milling Machine Operator (also known as Mill Operator, Machine Technician), you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining the milling machine. You'll review production orders to determine appropriate setup and operation of the machine, ensuring attention to detail for the best results. You'll also be expected to continuously meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and/or GED; or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency.
  • 6-12 Months experience with Mill Operating.
  • Ability to operate conventional machine tools, read mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using measuring tools (Tape measure, calipers and micrometers).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Experience utilizing forklifts required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts and in various types of weather conditions which includes extreme heat and cold.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, positive attitude, respect for co-workers and supervisor, self-motivated and dedicated worker, good organization skills, and dependable in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
