5-Axis CNC Machinist - 2nd or 3rd shift

Role

As a Machinist (also known as a CNC Operator, Machine Technician), you'll operate and maintain 5-axis machines, interpret blueprints, determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, and control settings. You'll also monitor machining and adjust speeds and feeds accordingly, enter program commands in machine controller or retrieve preprogrammed code, and manually adjust machine controls to prevent out-of-tolerance machining. You'll have the opportunity to recommend production improvement methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to the CNC Foreman and Plant Manager, and maintain cleanliness of machine and work area.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in 5-axis machining and 10+ years in machining.
  • Ability to machine various metals of various grades, hardness, shapes, and conditions from simple to complex.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, blueprint reading, GD&T, and shop math skills.
