Path Engineering

As a Fitter/Welder (also known as Sheet Metal Welder, Welding Technician), you will work independently or as part of a team to create sheet metal weldments. You will be responsible for meeting the dimensional parameters of mechanical engineering drawings, deciding where each weld is to be conducted, and ensuring the size and length criteria of each weld are met within the allowed tolerance. Your role will also include maintaining cosmetic or visual standards of the weldment, which may involve grinding of welds and polishing of sheet metal.

• First shift schedule: Monday – Thursday 6am – 4:30pm.
• Opportunity to work with a diverse team of Machine Operators, Welders, Painters, Material Handlers, and Supervisors.
• Comprehensive training on company operating procedures, safety rules, and ISO requirements.

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in welding and fitting.
• Proficiency in MIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel, basic fitting, and adjusting machines according to department manuals.
• Ability to read drawings, inspect parts for basic dimensions, perform basic layouts, and inspect parts against complex engineered drawings.
