Field Technician

Role

As an Instrument Repair Technician (also known as Surgical Instrument Repair Specialist, On-location Repair Technician), you'll perform surgical instrument inspection, repair, and refurbishment in a field-based setting. You'll work out of mobile repair trucks at customer sites and regional labs. Your primary duties will include performing basic to intermediate level repairs of surgical instruments, providing invoicing and documentation, and adhering to safety standards. This role requires daily travel and may occasionally require overnight stays.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience. Related certifications in technical or mechanical area, competitive equipment training or related military experience may be considered towards experience requirement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150 pounds.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old with ability to achieve and maintain FMCSA and drivers license requirements, including passing a DOT medical/physical exam and complying with all DOT regulations.
