Maintenance Technician I

Role

As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Maintenance Mechanic, Equipment Repair Technician), you'll perform entry to mid-level break-fix and preventative maintenance. This includes adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, and reconditioning or repairing machine tools. You'll also identify needed parts, supplies, and repair items, and provide support for other department members as needed. You'll be expected to adhere to Maintenance Industry Standards, comply with 5S and housekeeping standards, and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in general industry.
  • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems and ability to perform repairs.
  • Proficiency in PLC Troubleshooting, Equipment Troubleshooting, Electrical Troubleshooting, Mechanical Troubleshooting, and Hydraulics.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
