Maintenance Supervisor

Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor (also known as Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Team Leader), you'll be the crucial link between the maintenance team and management. Your responsibilities will include coordinating installation, maintenance, and repair work on equipment, buildings, and grounds. You'll manage a team of workers, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment, and assign workers to various projects. You'll also interact with plant personnel, enforce maintenance procedures, and uphold safety policies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required, degree from a vocational school or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of maintenance experience required.
  • Minimum three years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor preferred.
  • Good level of assertiveness to challenge and support the team.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
  • Demonstrated ability of budgeting and cost control.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to take ownership and responsibility with little direction.
  • Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity.
  • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in creating preventive maintenance plans, HVAC/R systems, electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
