We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lumber Purchaser (also known as Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Manager) to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a critical part in the purchasing of lumber, finish, and supplies to ensure smooth operations and desired margins. This role requires the ability to build relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and uphold the highest standard possible for our materials and vendors.

• Minimum 3 years experience with purchasing & inventory management, preferably within the lumber or building materials industry.
• Knowledge of wood species, profiles, and grades.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong math skills and ability to convert from SF - LF - BF for lumber and milled products.
• Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
