Maintenance Technician I

Role

As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Repair Technician, Maintenance Mechanic), you'll perform entry to mid-level break-fix and preventative maintenance. This includes adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, and reconditioning or repairing machine tools. You'll also identify needed parts, supplies, and repair items, provide support for other team members, and adhere to Maintenance Industry Standards and 5S and housekeeping standards. You may also be required to operate simple machining operations and perform basic welding tasks.

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in general industry.
  • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems with ability to perform repairs.
  • Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical troubleshooting skills, troubleshooting industrial automation equipment, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and lift/move more than 50 pounds.
