Maintenance Technician II

Role

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Repair Specialist, Maintenance Mechanic), your main duties will include performing mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance. This involves observing devices in operation, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, and repairing or replacing defective parts. You may also be required to operate multiple machining operations and perform welding tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for complying with 5S and housekeeping standards, driving and participating in continuous improvement activities, and updating records.

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry.
  • Proficiency in heavy equipment repair, equipment troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting skills, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Conveyor Systems, and Servo Motors.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
  • May be required to travel.
