Calibration Technician

Role

As a Calibration Technician (also known as Technical Support Specialist, Calibration Engineer), you'll travel to customer sites for calibration, repair, and technical support. You'll read quality control manuals and testing specifications, select and install accessories on test or calibration fixtures, regulate factors such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure, temperature, or vacuum, and activate test or calibration equipment. You'll observe readings to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements, adjust calibration mechanisms, and prepare calibration certificates and data reports. You'll also interact with other departments to resolve any related issues, assist in creating calibration procedures, evaluate calibration/repair jobs, and participate in Service/Quality Initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from a junior college or technical school; and four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills, Machine Safety Inspections, and experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
