CNC Machine Operator

Role
As a CNC Machinist (also known as CNC Operator, CNC Technician), you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC machining work centers, checking machines, re-zeroing out, interpreting technical drawings, and running parts. You may be operating up to 6 machines, performing quality inspections, maintaining tolerances to 1000th of an inch, and ensuring cleanliness of machines and chips.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of machining experience or education equivalent in related field.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machining work centers, making tool changes, making in-process offset changes, and using metrology equipment effectively.
- Ability to read and follow standard work, interpret blueprints, and possess a good understanding of GD & T.
- Working knowledge of CNC controls i.e. Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma OSP, and tooling familiarity.
- Basic math and PC skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with minimum supervision and well with others.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Trade school certification in related field preferred.
