Applications Engineer / NC Programmer

Role

As an Applications Engineer / NC Programmer (also known as CNC Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer), you'll be responsible for pre-acceptance, reviewing project documents, creating design plans, drafting project specifications, and conducting NC program reviews. You'll also be involved in installation, customer service support, production support activities, and troubleshooting issues. This role involves 70% travel.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-year degree in Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of machining or machine tool experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, process illustration documentation, CMM inspection reports, and cut-view documentation.
  • Strong mechanical skills and experience with AutoCAD and NC Programming.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CAM Software (Mastercam, Esprit, Siemens NX), CAD Software (AutoCAD), Universal Machining Center (5 axis UMC), and Universal Machining Center (3-4 axis).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of design, build, logistics, and installation processes.
  • Ability to complete SPC runoffs and process capability within process time cycle specification.
