CNC Machinist

Role

As a CNC Machinist (also known as CNC Operator, CNC Programmer), you'll assist with the set-up, programming, and operation of CNC machines. You'll work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts, making repairs to metal parts as well as for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment. You'll also be responsible for writing/editing/modifying programs for CNC Machines, operating them according to exact tolerances specified on engineering prints, and performing routine inspections and minor maintenance.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a fully qualified machinist.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints, work in auto cad, and use computers, hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and tape measures.
