Role

As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Maintenance Engineer, Equipment Specialist), you'll be instrumental in starting up production and maintaining equipment for our aluminium scrap sorting operations. You'll drive a safety-first culture, follow operational changes & standard practices, work through NFPA 70E System, inspect scrap material, manage scrap sorting equipment, and perform electrical and technical work on plant equipment. You'll also inspect and repair Diesel Engines, perform work on motors, wiring, and control cabinets, and operate mobile equipment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • 3-4 years of previous work experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanic, pneumatic, and diesel engine.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and understand operations and parts manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and drive mobile equipment.
  • Proven ability to function with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with secondary Aluminum & scrap sorting (a plus but not required).
  • Knowledge of aluminum process.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, PLC troubleshooting skills, creating preventive maintenance plans, electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical troubleshooting skills, pneumatics experience, hydraulics experience, PLC programming experience, metal casting experience, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Servo Motors, TIG Welder, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Conveyor Systems, and Diesel engine.
