Electrical Controls Technician

Role

As an Industrial Electrical and Controls Specialist (also known as Automation Technician, Controls Engineer), you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, and more. You'll also coordinate and implement maintenance training programs, identify best practices to reduce equipment downtime, and seek out automation and control projects to improve plant performance.

Qualifications
  • 2-year degree from vocational school in industrial electronics and controls or 10 years of industrial electrical and controls experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Allen Bradley Programmed Logic Control related products and ladder diagram logic.
  • Proficiency in PLC Troubleshooting and usage of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
