Role

As a Tooling Technician (also known as Mold Maintenance Technician, Injection Mold Specialist), you'll be responsible for maintaining all injection molding machines tools, auxiliary mold equipment, and mold storage. You'll also handle mold repair equipment, repair supplies, and design modifications. Your role will involve troubleshooting mold-related problems, making corrections, and ensuring safety in all operations. You'll also manage spare mold tooling part inventory, verify mold tooling dimensional conformance, and operate various shop equipment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a Technical school degree and/or 2-3 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Mold maintenance and making modifications to molds. Journeyman tool and die certificate required.
  • Significant knowledge of the injection molding process and equipment, PVC and/or CPVC material characteristics. Proficiency in Blueprint Reading, Equipment Troubleshooting, Manual Machining Skills, Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience, and Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills.
