Maintenance Technician

Role

As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Technician, Maintenance Engineer), you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair. You'll maintain and repair all production equipment, perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment, and work closely with Machine Operators, Supervisors, and Senior Technicians to resolve mechanical issues and propose solutions to complex and recurring problems.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree in manufacturing technology, mechatronics, plastics engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar maintenance environment, preferably in plastic manufacturing or food packaging. Experience with Variable frequency drives (VFD), servo drives, and servo motors, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing, injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion equipment, HVAC systems including chillers and/or air compressors, and PLC systems and automation in packaging lines is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, and assorted power tools, proficient with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, and depth gauges, and basic experience with Microsoft Office suite.
