Controls Field Technician

Role

As a Controls Field Technician II (also known as Industrial Electrical Automation Technician), you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and editing control systems, supporting the commissioning of programmable logic controls (PLCs), and collaborating with Integration Engineers. This role involves independent work, customer interaction, and clear communication with project stakeholders. You'll also be expected to read electrical schematics, create control panels, and execute ideas to make control systems more efficient.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or AS Degree with equivalent, applied experience.
  • 5 years’ experience working with electricity and proficiency in reading and wiring from electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in PLC Software (Studio or Logix 5000) or equivalent (i.e., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical abilities to remain stationary for up to 50% of a shift/work hours and navigate obstacles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pass a TSA background check and initial background and drug screenings.
