Role

As an EHS Specialist (also known as Safety Coordinator, Environmental Health and Safety Officer), you will play a crucial role in planning and implementing an EHS Excellence program. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development of safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and local EHS regulations, conducting regular audits, managing workers compensation cases, and assisting with hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar.
  • Desire to pursue certifications such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
