Role

As a Mechanical Lab Technician (also known as Mechanical Laboratory Assistant, Mechanical Testing Technician), you'll be part of a dynamic team working in a state-of-the-art facility. Your role will involve conducting laboratory tests, outputting data for projects, accurately machining and measuring samples, and ensuring the quality of testing results with minimal supervision. You'll also collaborate with various research and development projects, focusing on advanced aluminum products for diverse markets such as automotive, transportation, packaging, architectural, consumer electronics, and specialty markets.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience, and a high school diploma and/or certification/vocational degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with sample preparation for mechanical analysis (e.g. CNC machining, marking, measuring, hydraulic shears, etc.) and mechanical testing techniques (e.g. tensile, Rockwell, micro-hardness, bending, etc.).
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Excel) and their applications to collect, store, and analyze data and images. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
