Tool and Die Technician

Role
As a Tool and Die Technician (also known as Die Maintenance Technician, Tool and Die Maker), you'll perform repairs and adjustments to complex die sets, inspect and troubleshoot common failures, and develop concise technical documents. You'll also be responsible for heat-treating tools or parts, measuring and marking metal stock for machining, and ensuring dimensions, alignments, and clearances meet specifications.

- Minimum of five years related experience with tool and die tasks.
- At least two years previous experience with measurement processes and equipment capabilities used in order to perform repairs and adjustments to complex die sets.
- Experience with electronic drawing such as AutoCad, Pro-E or Solid Works and ability to modify existing drawings.
- Knowledge of Heat Treat process as applied to Tool and Die components.
- Knowledge of failure analysis, reliability studies, and performance enhancements.
