Shear Room Supervisor

Role

As a Shear Supervisor (also known as Metal Stamping Supervisor, Production Supervisor), you'll oversee and coordinate the activities of shear operators, ensure adherence to quality standards, manage production schedules, and collaborate with other departments for equipment maintenance. You'll also be responsible for safety compliance, production data analysis, record keeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or five years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in metal stamping processes and equipment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in Shop Math Skills and ability to operate forklifts.
  • Must be forklift and crane certifiable.
  • Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally.
