Production Planner

Bristol, CT

As a Production Planner (also known as Production Coordinator, Operations Planner), you'll be a key player in our manufacturing process. You'll work closely with the Production Manager to ensure production targets are met and customer orders are delivered on time. You'll also coordinate equipment and workforce resources, evaluate production capacity and bottlenecks, and take responsibility for ordering and monitoring production supplies/materials and inventory control. You'll also update scheduling notes for customer feedback on order status. Key metrics include on-time delivery, inventory, and output efficiencies.

  • BS in Engineering or Operations Management, or 10+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles in small to medium sized manufacturing firms.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing, budgeting/forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in PC (Windows environment, Excel).
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
