Role

As an Emergency Response Officer (also known as Firefighter, EMT, Rescue Worker), you'll be responsible for responding to emergency scenes, operating and inspecting fire apparatus and equipment, and performing security duties. This role involves working rotating shifts, including weekends, and occasional overtime.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician certification.
  • Current certification in either Firefighter I or Volunteer 160, and 40 hours certified hazardous material emergency response.
  • Preferred: Paramedic-Advanced EMT, High angle rope rescue experience, Hazardous Material Technician, 2-year Associates Degree in Fire Science or a degree or preparatory studies toward Public Safety, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Knowledge of heavy industry.
